When will the people of London and the whole of Briten wake up to the fact that they are beeing ripped of totally by the Government and in London Ken ? We already pay the highest taxes in Europe. We pay £160 a year to tax our cars and for what? if we are going to have to pay again to drive anywhere what are we paying road tax for? The real problem is not the Government, they are just doing what comes naturally to people, which is to take, take, take. The real problem is that the people of this country are to afraid to do anything about it! it's not the english way to actually do something, we just complan about it. Until the "Great British Public" actually put there money where their mouths are the govenment will continue to find new ways to rip us off, and why not ? we actually let them do it. and I'm trying to entre Zero as a fair price per mile but this web page won't let me so I have to put 99.9!

The congestion charge detracts people from London and yes, again its the businesses that suffer. The congestion is caused by cranky old buses pumping out plumes of smog. Its about time this country cleaned up its act. As for Ken, well he's just the governments puppet for the congestion charge. How much did he make out of this scheme...? By the way, i'd amend your 'fair price per mile' box. It is unrealistic.

I have just realised I am paying £25 a week CC Charge times 46 weeks a year (52 minus holidays) thats £1150.00 a year Ouch, i have never thought of that before? I dont get extra wages, thats a holiday my kids wont get, sad.

Road Tax- Isn't it about time that we were allowed to buy Road Tax by the month? The government make millions out of road users in this country by employing 6mth and 12mth Tax. Getting a refund is made more complicated by having to sign SWORN statements, etc.

OK so it's a "CONGESTION" charge right? I see. And LPG vehicles are exempt from paying it right? I see. So that means that all LPG vehicles don't cause congestion then do they because they can miraculously make themselves thinner as soon as they get into the zone! What causes congestion? Lack of adequate road space for traffic to travel along right? A lack of alternative routes for traffic to take so ALL traffic is forced onto one main road? Constant interuptions to traffic flow making it stop- start? More and more roads are being narrowed and restricted in London every day making access more difficult?
