Volvo come to my mind when I think of heated seats however most makers now fit them and some as standard. Indeed some heated seats are now even in the back.
The heated seat works by means of a switch some are even temperature adjustable. when switched on they power a heated element in the seat base and often also in the seat rear for lumbar warmth. Most are time controlled but the adjustable ones stay on at the required temperature.
A luxury greatly appreciated on cold leather in the coldest winder months.
