Most people probably think of headrests as just for comfort but they are a very important safety device.
In the event of a collision the headrest acts as a head restraint and therefore cutting down the chance of head or neck damage including whiplash.
Headrests can be part of the seat moulding itself, Or they can be adjustable and removable for convenience.
