The humble heated mirror used to be fitted to largely exclusive motor cars. However it now is standard equipment on many mid range saloons.
The simple task that it achieves is to defrost or de-fog your
external rear view mirrors.
It does this by supplying an electrical power through heating elements attached
to the rear of the mirror itself. This heats and then clears the mirror face
with ease and cleanliness.
A luxury which is very appreciated on the coldest winter mornings.
Some mirrors are heated when you activate the cars heated rear window, others have independent switches.
