The ability to adjust headlight aim is usually most desired when laden or towing.
As the rear of your car is lowered the front rises and with it so does your headlights making you unpopular with oncoming motorists.
The solution is to lower your headlight aim and thus keep them shining at the appropriate angle.
The aim is adjusted either but hydraulic pressure or by independent electric motors.
Unfortunately the electric motors do not get used regularly and are prone to seizure. They are expensive to replace and indeed may require headlamp replacement itself.
