Some systems are more useful than others, so check before you buy. Some rotate the driver's seat about a pivot in front, so in its highest setting the driver has the unsettling feeling of being tipped forwards.
The most sophisticated systems offer true height adjustment with the additional benefit of being able to angle the seat cushion for and aft to suit every driver's requirements perfectly.
Audi and some other makers offer a seat adjustment which raises the whole seat by means of sprung loaded tensioner. This type is very easy to use and very effective.
The telescopic rotating handle which with an upward or downward motion
adjusts the height on a cam.
This method is quite strenuous and is unreliable as the effort involved often
breaks the handle and it's attachment.

Another method is the ratchet type which is a handle on the side of the seat
which repeatedly moves in an upward or downward direction to adjust the seat
height.
This method of seat adjustment is very easy to use and very reliable.

operates by turning a handle clockwise or anti clockwise for height adjustment,
The handle is in front of the seat below the cushion. This method of adjusting the seat is rather awkward as it is difficult to get hold of the handle when in the seat especially if driving at the time. |
