A simple device fitted for passenger comfort.
Fitted to more expensive cars people carriers and alike.
The lights themselves are normally small interior lights which display lighting directionally towards the lap or the rear passenger.
The lights are designed not to interfere with the drivers vision.
And cannot be seen from the rear of the vehicle as white light.
