Now very much taken for granted the rear wash wipe has been
around for decades.
It has a basic function of cleaning the rear window of your car. Originally it
was mainly fitted on hatchback cars but now it is fitted to most body styles
including 4x4 people carriers estates and even some saloons.
The rear wash wipe is normally activated by a switch which will wipe the rear screen until switched off but there are many variants including auto wipe, which when reverse gear is engaged automatically activates the rear wiper if the front wipers are turned on. And of course the standard intermittent wipe which is now standard on many cars.
