I managed to pick one up for £470 in running order with minor defects (A
small crash which dented the drivers side bumper a tad and pushed the bonnet
up by about 1 cm). And as you mentioned in the article I was told by all not
to purchase the XJS as it was unreliable and ugly. Now that I own one they
all want to go out and find one too. Just goes to show how some people like
to criticise without actually knowing the facts.

I have a 1988 H&E V-12. White with biscuit interior.  Love the car, it drives great and is very solid.  I get looks and thumbs up when I drive it with the top down.  I wouldn't trade it for several of the little BMW's.  My son's jump at every chance to drive it.
